Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be re-elected in the 2027 general elections for another four-year term.
The governor also expressed confidence that APC candidates at various levels would secure victories in the elections.
Sani made these comments during the official return of former Governor Ramalan Yero, Senator Shehu Sani, Senator Suleiman Othman Hunkuyi, and Senator Danjuma Tela La’ah to the APC ahead of 2027.
This follows a statement made by Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, a former Kano State governor and current National Chairman of the APC, who confirmed that Tinubu would seek re-election and urged northerners planning to contest to reconsider their ambitions.

Governor Sani affirmed, “In the 2027 elections, the electorate will vote for APC across all levels, from top to bottom. At the top, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be re-elected, and at the state level, our party will win the gubernatorial, national, and state assembly elections, by God’s grace.”
Regarding those returning to the party, he said, “Whether someone joins the APC today or has been a foundation member for 10 years, they hold the same status and will enjoy the same rights and privileges.”
Sani emphasized that the APC’s doors remain open for more members as the elections approach.
He attributed the party’s growing popularity and acceptance to its just leadership at both the state and federal levels, stating that the APC is firmly established in Kaduna State, the North, and Nigeria overall.
Acknowledging that leaders are not infallible, the governor encouraged the people to offer constructive criticism to help correct mistakes.
Other notable figures who rejoined the APC include former House of Representatives member Muhammad Sani Sha’aban, a serving member of the House of Representatives, several state House of Assembly lawmakers from Southern Kaduna, and 50 others.
Most of the defectors came from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), alongside members of the Labour Party (LP) from Southern Kaduna.
Samaila Yakawada, a former Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and APC leader, remarked that there would be “no vacancy in the Kaduna Government House in 2027,” urging those planning to contest against Governor Sani to abandon their ambitions.
