President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr. Saviour Enyiekere as the Chairman of the National Assembly Service Commission (NASC) for a renewable five-year term.
Before this appointment, Enyiekere, an environmental specialist, served as the deputy chief of staff to the Senate President, according to a statement from Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.

Additionally, the President approved the appointment of two members from each of the six geopolitical zones to the commission.
The appointees include: Suleiman Hunkuyi and Hon. Yusuf Tabuka (North West); Aminu Malle and Lawan Mahmud (North East); Mark Tersoo and Salihu Balogun (North Central); Taiwo Oluga and Afeez Ipeza-Balogun (South West); Nnanna Kalu and Festus Odii (South East); and Patrick Giwa and Mary Ekpenyong (South South).
The President stated that, like the chairperson, members of the commission will serve a renewable five-year term.
