South Korean actress Kim Sae-ron was found dead in her home in Seoul on Sunday, according to police reports. She was 24 years old.
Her body was discovered by a friend who alerted the authorities on Sunday evening, as reported by Yonhap news agency.
Kim Sae-ron gained recognition for her role as a kidnapped child in the 2010 film The Man from Nowhere, where she was rescued by a former special forces agent.
Her performance earned her the Best New Actress award at the Korean Film Awards.
Throughout her career, Kim showcased her versatility across various roles, winning multiple film accolades.
However, her career came to an abrupt stop after a drunk-driving incident in 2022, which resulted in a fine of 20 million won ($13,800).
Following the incident, she faced negative public sentiment and struggled to secure new acting roles.
