The Anambra State Police Command announced that its operatives, along with local vigilantes, have arrested Anthony Kosisochukwu Okafor in connection with the death of his 45-year-old brother, Emmanuel Okafor.
The 37-year-old suspect is from Adegbe Village, Abagana in the Njikoka Local Government Area of the state.
The arrest was confirmed in a statement issued by the Anambra Police spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga, on Saturday.

According to the statement, Kosisochukwu admitted to having fought with his brother over a disagreement about the use of food supplies at home.
It was reported that Kosisochukwu used a stick to pierce Emmanuel’s chest, and the victim was later rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead by the attending doctor.
The statement emphasized that the incident is a troubling reminder of the dangers of domestic violence and family conflicts.
It stressed the importance of managing disagreements and emotions in a healthy and constructive manner to prevent tragic outcomes.
The case has been handed over to the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department in Awka and will be brought to court once the investigation is completed.
