The Katsina State Hisbah Board has imposed a ban on all nightclub activities across the state, citing Islamic principles and the need to maintain moral values. Dr. Aminu Usman (Abu Ammar), the Hisbah Commander-General, announced the decision in a statement released in Katsina on Wednesday.
He explained that nightclub owners are required to close their establishments to prevent immoral activities, protect societal values, and address security concerns in the state.

“The board has warned that those who violate this directive will face strict penalties. Security agencies have been instructed to ensure full compliance with this order,” Usman said.
He emphasized that the Hisbah Board is dedicated to fostering a morally sound society and ensuring peace and security in Katsina State.
Usman confirmed that the board has informed relevant security agencies, including the state Commissioner for Internal Security, to effectively enforce the directive.
“This action is in line with Hisbah’s broader efforts to ensure that residents live according to religious and moral standards,” he added.
