Rose Idibia, the mother of Nigerian music star 2Baba, has reacted to her son’s proposal to Natasha Osawaru, the Deputy Majority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly.
2Baba recently proposed to Ms. Osawaru, publicly announcing her as his fiancée after his separation from Annie Macaulay, his wife of 13 years.

The proposal generated significant buzz on social media, particularly due to his ongoing divorce and the striking resemblance to his previous engagement with Annie.
In a video shared on the Instagram pages of her sons, Charles and Hyacinth Idibia (with Hyacinth being 2Baba’s manager), Mrs. Idibia made an emotional plea.
She asked Ms. Osawaru to release her son, claiming that 2Baba was under a spell. She said, “Good evening, Nigerians.
My name is Mrs. Rose Idibia, and this message is for Ms. Natasha Osawaru of Edo State. I am calling on all mothers in Nigeria to help me beg her to release or free my son. My son is going through a divorce process, and he is clearly not in his right senses right now. I know my son, and this isn’t him. Please, Natasha, remove the beads from his hand and neck and set him free.”
